Yahrzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev Marked

Masses of worshippers gathered, Thursday, at the old cemetery in the Ukrainian city of Berditchev to mark the 103rd anniversary of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, a hasidic leader also known as the Kedushas Levi for his commentary on many Jewish laws and religious books. The rabbi was one of the main disciples of the Maggid of Mezritch and was believed to have the ability to intercede for the Jewish people before G-d.

A heated tent and food were provided close to the cemetery, as well as the new ambulance of the Ukrainian "Hatzalah" emergency, which made its mark during the holidays of the Jewish month of Tishrei and has been put at the disposal of visitors to the graves of the righteous in the Ukraine.
