Barak Supports January 22nd Elections

The Atzma'ut (Independence) party announced, Thursday evening, that it supports the date of January 22nd for elections to the next Knesset, which will also determine if Binyamin Netanyahu continues as prime minister. The party called on all the parties to support the date out of national responsibility.

Atzma'ut Chairman Ehud Barak said, "Israel needs stability at this time and a short election campaign will achieve this goal." the cabinet is scheduled to vote, Sunday, on a government bill to endorse the date.
