Rick Ross, an African-American hip-hop star has released an album called "The Black Bar Mitzvah Mixtape". Ross, who is not Jewish, is depicted on the album cover with a large Star of David symbol. There are only a few other fleeting Jewish references on the album.

A bar mitzvah is a Jewish ceremony in which a 13-year-year old takes on religious obligations. Rappers have been known to appropriate and stylize various cultural references.
