The Supreme Court is hearing an appeal Wednesday from relatives of several of those killed in the Carmel Fire of 2010. The families are calling to oust Minister of the Interior Eli Yishai and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz following a State Comptroller’s report which found that government mistakes were a factor in the deaths.

Justices asked the plaintiffs why the court should hold the two ministers personally responsible when the State Comptroller did not see fit to do so.
