Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is weighing the possibility of returning to politics, Reshet Bet reports. Olmert could attempt to rejoin Kadima, or may try to find a place in a new center-left party.

According to the report, Olmert’s family is discouraging him from returning to politics, while political figures are pushing him to run and saying that only he can provide an alternative to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Olmert was convicted earlier this year of breach of trust.
