More than 70 olive trees were uprooted Monday evening, near the Samarian (Shomron) Jewish community of Eli, south of Shechem, according to Agence France Presse. Residents of the Palestinian Authority village of Qaryut blamed resident of Eli, accusing them of similar attacks in the past.

The Israeli army could not immediately confirm the incident, which took place on the first day of the olive harvest.
