A man was shot and fatally wounded Saturday in the eastern French city of Strasbourg while being arrested by police in a nationwide anti-terrorist operation that resulted in the arrest of eleven people, judicial and police sources said.

Those arrested are suspected of being part of a Salafist network linked to a terror attack last month on a Jewish grocery near Paris during which two men through a small explosive device into the shop, injuring one.
