5.7% Price Hike for Israeli Coca Cola Products

Coca Cola in Israel announced, Thursday evening, that the prices of its products are going up an average of 5.7 percent. The company cited a "drastic increase" in the price of ingredients. Citing the price of a 1.5-liter bottle, a company statement claimed that the general price index went up 16.2 percent and the food index, not including produce, rose 20 percent, while its own product rose only 11.2 percent.

Coca Cola also owns Carlsberg beer and Tara dairies, which will not be included in the price hikes, which are scheduled for about a month from now.
