Rivlin: Dissolve Knesset; Elections as Soon as Possible

Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin called, Thursday evening, for the Knesset to be dissolved and new elections to be held as soon as possible. Addressing a Sukkot observance in the Yekev Neighborhood of Migron, Rivlin said elections were needed in response to the budget demands of the latest international financial crisis, adding he expected the voting to be in the second or third week of February. The Likud lawmaker also said he expected Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to form the government that emerges from the elections.
