Sholom Rubashkin, the owner of the Agriprocessors kosher meat packing facility will remain in jail after the United States Supreme Court rejected his appeal. Rubashkin was convicted of fraud. He was sentenced to 27 years in prison.
 
Rubashkin appealed stating that the judge helped plan the 2008 government raid on the facility in Postville, Iowa and that his sentence was unfair for a first-time, nonviolent offender.
