Rabbi Yehuda Zoldan, who heads the Education Ministry’s Judaic studies department, has come under attack for his stance on withdrawals from parts of the land of Israel. Rabbi Zoldan has said that no government has the right to give up any part of the land of Israel, or to stop settling the land, even with majority approval.
His opinion was published on the Education Ministry’s website and was covered by Maariv/nrg. He has since been criticized by several left-wing political figures, including former ministers Yuli Tamir and Yossi Sarid, who have called for him to be fired.
