The city of Lod has experienced a religious revival in recent years as the city’s Garin Torani (religious “seed group”) grows, Rabbi Yisrael Sammet said Tuesday, speaking to Arutz Sheva. “We’re at a very significant stage right now,” he said. “We’ve just started a new neighborhood with 100 families, we have 350 families in all and we’re on our way to 500 families. There’s a feeling of growth and movement.”
One of the notable changes is the full prayer services at synagogues that were once nearly empty, he said. “We’re filling synagogues that were empty. Suddenly you can hear children’s voices in synagogue again.”
