Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange started trading, Tuesday, with modest to moderate gains. About a quarter of an hour into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,053.23, up 1.03 percent, while the TA 100 rose 1.1 percent to 1,066.15, including a 1.08-percent advance by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The bank stocks led the gainers, rising 1.61 percent to 995.11 as the financial institutions stood at 889.96, up 1.52 percent, including a one percent advance by the insurance issues to 898.38. The real estate stocks stood at 270.88, up .97 percent, and the biomed index rose .37 percent to 736.62, while the rest of the technology isues stood at 355.19, up .28 percent. The oil and natural gas stocks slipped .13 percent to 990.56 while the communications and media index stood at 480.57, down .29 percent.
