As Conflict Rages, Syria Accuses West of Funding Terror

Syria accused several countries, United States, France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, of interfering in the country's conflict between militias and government forces by providing weapons, money and mercenaries in support of 'terrorism.'

As his government continued to brutally kill its own people, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem spoke in front of the UN General Assembly and said that calls for PM Assad to step down were a "blatant interference in the domestic affairs of Syria, and the unity of its people and its sovereignty."

This speech came after UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon strongly criticized Syria for the abuse and murder of its people during the 18 month conflict that continues to rage on.
