Aharonovich: Be Aware, But Enjoy Holiday

With the impending arrival of Sukkot, police are on high alert. Thousands of police have been deloyed at parks, malls, and places of entertainment, as tens of thousands of Israeli families plan outings during Chol Hamo'ed (intermediate days) of the holiday.

Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich urged Israelis to be aware of events around them, to keep an eye out for suspicious packages and people, and to cooperate with security officers. However, he added, with the additional caution, there was no reason not to enjoy the holiday.
