Egyptian Defense Minister Abdel Fatah a-Sisi promised Egyptian Army soldiers over the weekend that he would improve the weapons the army has access to. A-Sisi made the statement at the end of a major military exercise, marking the 39th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War.

A-Sisi said that he realized the army needed more training to improve its capabilities. He added that Egypt was working to improve its missiles, with the aim that the missiles the army would deploy would have a range of at least 45 kilometers.
