Russia is continuing to evacuate its citizens from Syria. A spokesperson for rebel groups in Syria told Arab media that several Russian and Cypriot ships have been evacuating civilians and soldiers from a Russian military base on the Syrian coast, where many Russian citizens have taken refuge.

Meanwhile, fierce fighting between government and rebel soldiers continues. Rebel groups posted a Youtube video showing them taking 40 Syrian soldiers prisoner. The soldiers were captured in Kuneitra on the Golan Heights, close to the Israeli border.
