ADL Call Reuters/AP Use of Netanyahu Photo "Disgusting"

In an action that has been called "ugly" and "disgusting," two of the world's largest newswires recently published photos of the Israeli Prime Minister  giving what bad timing and the quick push of the camera button has been made to look like the infamous Nazi salute.

Reuters and AP published the photos, which came from Netanyahu's speech at the UN General Assembly, and which captured the prime minister extending his arm in a similar formation the the "Heil Hitler" salute.

“Of the hundreds of professional photos taken at this speech, the AP and Reuters decided to push these onto the wire,” wrote Daniel Halper at The Weekly Standard.

Abraham Foxman, the National Director of the Anti Defamation League said, "I think it is ugly, disgusting, offensive. Strong words to follow.”

“I can’t believe it, if it in fact happened,” he told the Daily Carter.
