Shekel, Euro Up; Dollars Mixed; Yen, Pound Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .037 percent in mixed trading, Friday, against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.912, down .331 percent, while the Euro rose .234 percent to 5.0649 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.3454, down .267 percent, while 100 Japanese yen declined .401 percent to 5.037shekels. The Canadian dollar rose .193 percent to NIS 3.9953, while its Australian counterpart was set at 4.0884 shekels, up .012 percent, and the South African Rand fell .878 percent to NIS .4744.
