Traffic Congestion in Bat Yam from Charity Race

The second annual race to support the Elem organization for at-risk youth is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m., Friday, in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv. The race features a 10-kilometer route for competitive runners and a two-kilometer popular route.

Traffic in Bat Yam is expected to be congested until about 10:00 a.m. Police have closed eastbound Komemiyut Street and westbound Yosephtal Street, as well as Balfour, Herzl and Rotschild Streets, Kikar Hamatzevah (Hamatzevah Square) and the Ben-Gurion Promenade. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
