Naftali Bennett, a candidate for the chairmanship of the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party), said, Thursday evening, "The people of Israel stand behind [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu, and I suggest that the Israeli left also understand that there is even a red line for attacks against Netanyahu. The red line is the Iranian threat on all our lives that Netanyahu is determined to prevent."
Bennett - who was the prime minister's former chief of staff - added, "On this existential issue, there is no right and there's no left. We are all Israelis. We are all Jews." He was responding to Netanyahu's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, calling for a red line against Iran's nuclear threat.
