Netanyahu Argues for Red Lines

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Thursday, that red lines are a positive thing, citing the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's decades-long policy of an attack against one being an attack against the alliance. He also cited President John F. Kennedy's warning to Cuba in 1962 about Russian missiles and a warning by the United States to Iran this year about the Straits of Hormuz.

He said a specific red line must be drawn regarding the enrichment of uranium by Iran. He said Iran is well on its way to making its first weapon, based on the public reports of the International Atomic Energy Agency. He said the red line should be drawn before the countdown reaches a few weeks or months.
