Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has announed that Iran is working to create a multilateral gorup that will attempt to solve the crisis in Syria.

In a conversation with newsmen while the United Nations General Assembly was in session, Ahmadinejad said "We believe that intra-national dialogue and internal understanding and agreement can bring the two sides of the conflict to a more stable solution, one that is more tangible and long lasting", adding, "that is why we hope to pave the way to an internal national dialogue between the two sides."
