German Chancellor Angela Merkel has cancelled a trip that she had planned to take to Tunisia at the beginning of October.
Merkel's office announced that the visit was cancelled by mutual agreement with the Tunsian government, but a local newspaper reported that the reason for the cancellation is fear of disturbances that might break out upon her arrival, spurred by the anti-Western animus that has surfaced since the youtube posting of the amateur "Innocence" video that insults Mohammed.
