Thousands of people demonstrated near the United Nations building in New York City to protest Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who spoke at the General Assembly on Wednesday.

Participants included former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani, and former Member of the U.S. House of Representative Newt Gingrich.
