An Egyptian court sentenced 14 members of the Salafist Muslim Tawheed wal Jihad (Monotheism and Holy War) group to death, Monday, for their role in an attack, last year, on a police station in the northern Sinai city of El-Arish, in which four Egyptian security personnel and a civilian were killed.

Eight of the defendants have not been caught and were sentenced in absentia.
