Commenting on the light sentence he received in court Monday, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that he was walking out of court “with my head held high. For all the things I was convicted for I accept the court's judgement, and will absorb the lessons that I need to.
Olmert's attorney, Eli Zohar, said that “the decision was quite clear.” He called on the prosecution not to appeal the sentence, saying that it would bot be proper to dispute a court decision that was clearly given and that took into consideration the comprehensive picture of Olmert's activities, both during his term in office and after he left politics.
