      Interest Rates to Remain Unchanged

For the third month in a row, the Bank of Israel has left the prime interest rate unchanged. The rate will remain at 2.25%, the BOI announced Monday.

A statement from the Bank said that it had decided to leave the rate unchanged because of recent price increases in food and housing. Over the past year, the Bank has lowered the interest four times, for a total one percent reduction during that time.
