Reports from Egypt said that Egyptian army tanks were again in northern Sinai. The army is apparently planning another operation to root out Islamist Bedouin groups, an Egyptian newspaper said Monday. Witnesses quoted by the paper said that tanks were seen traveling north, being transported on large vehicles.
The tanks are bound for the area near the Israeli border, the report said, in order to prevent further terror activity there. There was no mention in the report of whether Israel was consulted on the move, which is a violation of the Camp David Accords.
