Olmert Put on Probation and Fined

The Jerusalem District Court sentenced former prime minister Ehud Olmert, Monday afternoon, to three years of probation and fined him 75,000 shekels for his conviction on breach of trust in connection with the Investment Center case, where he was charged with using undue influence while heading the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labor. The former prime minister still faces trial on alleged bribery in issuing building permits for the Holyland real-estate development when he was mayor of Jerusalem.
