In light of the growing demand for Magen David Adom’s services during Yom Kippur, the first aid organization announced on Sunday that it will on heightened alert during the fast, which will begin on Tuesday night and end on Wednesday night.

MDA stations across the country this year will have extra paramedics, ambulances and mobile intensive care units that will provide emergency medical care to thousands of cyclists and people who might feel unwell during the fast.
