Iran accuses Siemens of nuclear sabotage

The German company Siemens was accused by Iranian lawmaker Alaeddin Boroujerdi of sabotaging its nuclear program, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) reported.

According to the news agency, small explosives were found embedded in equipment Siemes sold the Iranians for their nuclear program. DPA quoted Borojerdi as saying, "the equipment was supposed to blow up after installation in order to destroy our [nuclear] systems."

Siemens immediately dismissed the allegations, claiming to have no business dealings with Iran’s nuclear program, as the United Nations has banned the sale of nuclear-related equipment to Tehran.
