Yen Outpaces Dollars, Pound; Euro Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .341 percent, Thursday, in mixed trading against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.92, up .256 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro declined .285 percent to 5.0733 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.3455, up .049 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose 1.226 percent to 5.0123 shekels. The South African rand fell 1.222 percent to NIS .4689 while the Australian dollar was set at 4.0747 shekels, down .186 percent, and its Canadian counterpart declined .239 percent to NIS 4.0028.
