Tel Aviv District Court Vice President Varda Elsheikh postponed, Thursday, ruling on a petition to freeze proceedings involving the transfer of the Ma'ariv daily to new ownership. A hearing on the petition is now scheduled to resume on Sunday.

Judge Elsheikh wrote, in her decision, that the connection between Ma'ariv's owners and a potential office holder poses problems. At Sunday's hearing, the nominees will be asked to briefly describe their connections with the company and how long they have existed, as a way to assist the judge in her final decision.
