A dog suffering rabies was found Wednesday morning in the town of Elad in the Golan. The dog was female, medium size, with short brown fur.
The Health Ministry has asked anyone who came in contact with the infected dog, or who owns animals that came in contact with a stray or wounded animal in the area in the past two weeks, to contact the ministry. The Health Ministry can be contacted at its Tiveria (Tiberius) office at 04-671-0300, or via a local branch. After hours, anyone who believes they may have come in contact with the animal should turn to their local hospital.
