Representatives for Maariv employees held a lengthy meeting Tuesday night with Nochi Danker, who owns the news outlet, and with Histadrut head Ofer Eini. Danker told the representatives that he is “closer than ever” to signing an agreement with Shlomo Ben-Tzvi, the owner of the Makor Rishon newspaper.

Danker said Ben-Tzvi will employ Maariv workers, and that the two are now working out the employees’ terms of employment.
