Rabbi Yechezkel Soibel, head of the Tiferet Yaakov yeshiva in Jerusalem, passed away on the second night of Rosh Hashannah at the age of 70. Rabbi Soibel died of a heart attack shortly after praying Mincha, the afternoon prayer service, on Monday.
Rabbi Soibel taught thousands during his years working at Tiferet Yaakov. “He was a yeshiva principal in every bone of his body, dedicated to his students. He was like a father to them,” one student recalled.
He was survived by his wife and three children and his children’s families
