In an interview with the BBC, Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil said that dozens of the 400 people arrested for rioting and invading the American embassy in Cairo were paid to do so. So far, one person has been killed and more than 250 injured in the three days of protests in Cairo against the Internet clip, “The Innocence of Muslims,” which allegedly insults Mohammed.
Qandil called on the U.S. to “take the necessary measures to ensure insulting billions of people and their beliefs does not happen and people pay for what they do.”
