Jew Arrested for Praying on Temple Mount

A report Sunday morning said that a Jewish visitor to the Temple Mount had been arrested on charges of praying. According to the Honenu legal rights organization, a Muslim cleric claimed that the Jew's lips had been moving, indicating that he was praying. The Muslim informed a police officer, who arrested the Jew for the offense of praying, which is forbidden to Jews on the Mount.

The detainee was taken to a police station in the Old City. He is being represented by a Honenu attorney.
