Tatzpit News Agency Expanding Beyond Judea and Samaria

The Tatzpit news agency will expand to bring subscribers news from around Israel after the holidays of the Jewish month of Tishrei, when newly-recruited paid employees and 99 volunteers from the Negev to the Galilee undergo training in the Judean Jewish community of Gush Etzion. Tatzpit head Amotz Eyal called the expansion "revolutionary".

The agency started about three years ago as a Zionist-nationalist response to the anti-Israeli coverage of leftist and Arab organizations operating in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) It opened its foreign desk about eight months ago as a way to bring news stories and pictures depicting the way of life in the region to the world. A recent agreement with Pakistan's PNP news agency to supply material to 400 million Muslims from Iran to Indonesia drew harsh criticisim in Pakistan and Iran.
