Bereaved Mother Bakes Honey Cakes for Gaza Soldiers

Hagit Rein, whose son, Benaya, was killed during the Second Lebanon War, brought honey cakes she had baked to soldiers serving on the western Negev border with Gaza, this week, as part of her ongoing efforts to inspire Israel Defense Forces officer, other soldiers and other youth. Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, she says she told the troops the cakes were from Benaya. Some of them responded that because of her stories about Benaya, they had gone to officer training.
