Rabbi Avichai Ronsky, the head of the Itamar yeshiva and former chief rabbi of the IDF, told Arutz Sheva on Thursday that the Jewish year 5772 was a great year.
“One can sense the enormous progress in our country, both economically and politically, despite all the warnings about a tsunami,” he said. “Our political situation today is good.”
Speaking about the relations between the secular and the religious populations in Israel, Rabbi Ronsky said that the solution lies in living together.
“The media always shows the rifts, but during my visits with populations that do not wear a kippah and during visits of groups from across the country who came to Itamar after the murder of the Fogel family, we actually found the connections,” he said.
