One young man was killed and another was lightly injured, Thursday evening, when they were struck by a vehicle as they walked on the shoulder of the dark road between the Jezreel Junction and the northern Israeli community of Gan Ner, near Afula.

Magen David Adom emergency-service paramedics were forced to declare the death of one youth and take the other to Ha'emek Hospital in Afula for treatment.
