The official value of the shekel declined an average of .125 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.966, up .405 percent, while the Euro rose .483 percent to 5.1188 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.3876, up .527 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .573 percent to 5.1034 shekels. The Canadian dollar rose .252 percent to NIS 4.0647, while its Australian counterpart was fixed at 4.1388 shekels, up .106 percent. The South African rand fell 1.197 percent to .4706 shekels and the Swedish Krona was set at nis .6003, down .166 percent.
