Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbayev, president of Kazakhstan, has expressed his country's support for the Palestinian Authority's planned bid to receive the status of a non-member state at the United Nations.

In a statement made by the country's Foreign Ministry, it was reported that the support was expressed in a meeting between Nazarbayev and the PA's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Riyad Al-Maliki.
