Chabad emissaries around Israel are preparing for a special project, as part of which they will visit hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and streets and blow the shofar in front of as many people as possible.

The Chabad emissary in the city of Ashkelon, Rabbi Uri Cohen, told Arutz Sheva on Wednesday, “We have been doing this for thirty years. Immediately after the morning prayers we go out, nearly twenty people, even before the holiday meal and go to hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and approach people on the street. They says the blessing and we blow the shofar.”
