The European Union said on Tuesday that two million out of three million Syrian citizens who need food are not receiving it because the Assad regime is refusing to grant visas to employees of the EU’s humanitarian aid organization.

The EU asked the international community to pressure the Assad regime and the rebel forces to stop firing at one another, in order to allow the safe entry and exit of the aid workers.
