The Lebanese army released on Tuesday four Syrian hostages who were kidnapped last month by the clan Al-Miqdad clan. The Shiite clan began to kidnap Syrian citizens and foreigners after learning that one of its members was being held by rebels in Syria.
Last week, the Lebanese army raided the Dahiya district of southern Beirut, a Hizbullah stronghold, and arrested several Shiite civilians who are suspected of being involved in the abductions.
