Supreme Court Delays Hearing on Yeshiva Budget

The Supreme Court ruled on Monday that a discussion on the petition against the budget for yeshivas will not be held until November. Judge Edna Arbel, who made the ruling, said that it was “due to the constraints of the Court.”

The petition, which was filed about a month ago by a number of secular organizations, is aimed at stopping the transfer of budget to yeshivas, in the wake of the expiration of the Tal Law. The petitioners demanded that funding for 54 thousand yeshiva students is completely stopped.
