Most of the featured indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened trading, Monday, with modest declines. A few minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 994.51, down two tenths of a percent, while the TA 100 lost .21 percent to 1,004.05, including a .14-percent drop to 1,127.89 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks just outside the TA 100 were up .02 percent at 357.66.
The oil and natural gas index slipped .16 percent to 949.82, while the communications and media issues stood at 452.06, down .26 percent. The bank stocks declined .33 percent to 864.00 as the financial institutions stood at 773.84, down .38 percent, including a .53-percent drop to 754.21 by the insurance index. Most of the technology issues declined .37 percent to 343.00, while the biomed stocks stood at 717.54, down .54 percent, and the real estate index fell .62 percent to 237.98.
